This is gonna be one of my most unusual posts I've had in awhile. But this idea has been in the back of my mind itching to get out.
So prepare yourself for a tl;dr (too long;didn't read. For all you folks who haven't been to 4chan or think that the only thing the internet is good for is twatter and macebook.)
After being basically bombarded over the last several months through various media (namely network/cable television and some mainstream *chuckles* news websites.), with the fact that our gubberment is up to their short hairs (as if they have anything else between their legs) in debt.
Oooohhhh...we owe eleventy kajillion dollars to this foreign country who wants to flood our marketplace with cheap lead filled pieces of sh*t or to another country who wants to nuke us because someone drew a stick figure and called it 'mohammad'.
The thought occurred to me:
Money, in it's current form, is a dead currency. Capitalism, in this form, is a failed social system.
'But, avid, if you're so smart, what do you suggest we replace it with?'
I'm glad you asked...
Please bear with me as this is not a 100% fleshed out idea, but more of a framework than a actual system. And like all frameworks, it has room for improvements and adjustments.
So here's the basic concept:
We abolish/destroy all paper/coin/currency WORLDWIDE!
'Without currency, how can we survive? How can we buy all the hundreds of useless lead-lined cheap sh*t we're so used to...?'
Simple, we replace with something that is used the world over and is a universal constant.
The TIME System.
'I don't get it...'
The idea is very simple...instead of working for dollars/yen/yomomma, you'd be working for hours/minutes.
Most Americans work a set number of hours for a set dollar rate. But instead of the dollar rate, you'd be just working hours.
'How do we track how much we're making?'
Simple, you don't.
You'll be using a debit/credit/bank card which keeps track of how many hours you've worked.
With me so far? Good...
Stay with me and I'll explain the rest on the next post...
Thanks for reading!
